The AC geared motors with shielded poles have an excellent quality/price ratio and are ideal for working in applications that require very high temperatures. They work at fixed speed, which varies according to the reduction ratio, from 0.8 rpm up to 25 rpm; the motor power varies according to the windings and the magnetic pack (19-55mm). the maximum expressible torque is very high, especially if compared to the size of the gearmotor: 35Nm can easily be reached. The shaft options are numerous, including that of the hollow shaft.
AC gearmotors with shielded poles with encoder are equipped with a speed sensor (based on a “hall effect” sensor) thanks to which, together with the control boards, it is possible to implement speed control by modulating the power in entrance. AC motors with shielded poles with encoders are innovative motors that allow the gearmotor to work continuously – as opposed to the traditional on-off mode – in a much quieter way thanks to the speed control.
