“MFS” is a roof crossing module capable of increasing the levels of fire prevention and protection through the use of new materials and the adoption of new technical solutions. It is not a simple passage to the roof with a merely insulating and fireproof function, but it is an integral part of the chimney system: a real flue that can be installed in absolute adherence to the roof or to the wooden slab. This double function (fire prevention – flue gas exhaust) allows “MFS” to guarantee a significant reduction in the external diameter: up to 40% less than a traditional system. In the event of a soot fire from the chimney (1000 °C inside the duct), “MFS” ensures a contact temperature with the adhering wood of 80 °C, a value in line with what is defined by the EN 1859 standard. Reduction of high temperatures over 90%!
